1979 Molly Hatchet "The South rises again" for Peavy Amplifiers

Molly Hatchet, "The South rises again"

The crew is set. The place is packed. The lights go down and Molly Hatchet thunders on stage churning out their own brand of Southern rock with the power of a steam driven locomotive. And the train keeps rollin' from Jacksonville, Florida through concert halls across the country, leaving audiences dazed and sending the sales of their first album soaring.

The guitar force behind Molly Hatchet; Dave Hlubek, Duane Roland, Steve Holland, and Banner Thomas work together to create a sound that soars with harmonies, hooks, and heavy rhythm textures that take you beyond anything you've heard before. "We went through a lot of equipment before we got the big, ballsy sound we wanted", says Dave Hlubek. "We get that sound with Peavey equipment. We've been using Peavey on the road and in the studio for about three years now. It's the best we've ever played...we're really convinced."
