1978 The Nine Lives of Alvarez-Yairi Guitars
Nine reasons why the dedication to hand made guitars lives on with Alvarez-Yairi.
1. Lifetime guarantee gives you assurance of dependable performance.
2. Extra long adjustable truss rod can correct neck warping more effectively.
3. Neck has high tensile strength alloy "U" channel which promotes firm stable neck alignment.
4. Part of neck itself extends into the body of the guitar making it impossible for the neck to separate from the guitar body.
5. Ebony fingerboard provides for longer life and gives better feel.
6. Solid spruce top is aged for over two years which promotes a more resonant tone.
7. Special tapered bracing gives better balance to treble and bass.
8. Neck has slight triangular feel which makes picking and chording easier.
9. Grover machine heads make tuning easier and surer.
Play one at your dealer - It's the cat's meow.

1976 Alvarez-Yairi has plain & fancy guitars
Alvarez-Yairi has 'em both. Whether you like them plain for fancy, Alvarez-Yairi has a guitar for you. But regardless of looks, every Alvarez-Yairi steel string guitar has these features to insure resonant tone and lasting performance. Grover rotomatic machine heads for fast accurate tuning; Genuine ebony fingerboard which lasts longer than rosewood and gives you the right fretboard feel; Alloy "U" channel neck reinforcement which allows the neck to be made comfortably thin without danger of warping; Nato mahogany neck which is naturally aged for over two years to insure stability and strength. Solid spruce top from Canada, naturally aged for two years, gives better resonance; Special parabolic tapered top bracing allows the top more vibrating freedom...

1978 Now Alvarez Yairi Guitars have Brass Nuts and saddles
Most guitars come with plastic nuts and saddles. Some better quality guitars are equipped with solid bone nuts and saddles, as are all Alvarez Yairi instruments. Bone gives a good mellow sound with excellent projection. However, through extensive research, we have found that solid bell brass nuts and saddles give our 6 string dreadnought guitars an intirely new dimension. Solid bell brass boosts the treble tones making them crisp and lively. Brass also makes the mid range brighter and reduces unwanted bass overtones. So you get a more balanced tone overall, and that is an ideal sound for a flat picker, especially for lead runs and solos. The sustain quality of bell brass is also superior to bone. Brass nuts and saddles are the ultimate answer for bottle neck styles because they increase the volume and accentuate the individual string tone response. Brass nuts and saddles have another indisputable advantage. They are extremely durable...not subject to wear and tear from string pressure as plastic and other substitute materials are. So...brass nuts and saddles are not for everyone, but they might be just the sound for you!
